Types of Carbide Burr Cuts
Standard Cut -
Also referred to as plain cut. This cut is most commonly used for
general purpose deburring of steel, cast iron, and other ferrous
metals.
Double Cut - Also referred to as alternative diamond
cut. This cut is ideal where greater tool control is important. Very
efficient stock removal. Creates a small chip.
Chip-Breaker Cut- This cut provides a break down in
chips. Chip size will be smaller than plain cut.
Diamond Cut - For use on heat treated and tough alloy
steels. This cut creates a powder like chip. It provides a fine
finish with excellent tool control, however tool life is short.
